House Update

Things are going really well for the house! We had the inspector come last night and check out our house. He said there were no major concerns, only 1 recommended repair and about a handful of just some small maintenance jobs. The one recommended repair is the garage door opener. There are supposed to be 2 safety features one is the invisible beam that runs across the bottom so if someone or something walks through there the door will go back up so no one gets hurt. The other safety feature is if there is a something laying underneath the beam, like a board, when the door hits it it will go back up. That is the one that is not working. The beam works just fine. He said that that is really easy to fix and is probably just a screw adjustment. Other than that there weren't a whole lot of things that need work. Ma and Pop were able to go with us and see the house. They both agreed that it is a great house in good condition. So that made us feel better about our decision. Going to the house again just confirmed how much I really love it. We've been planning how we will arrange things. We also got things going yesterday on the financial end. We went in and signed a bunch of papers. Now we also have to get an appraiser in. Our closing date is March 30. But we could be in there sooner if things go well. Oh and please pray for the woman selling the house. We were told she is dying of brain cancer and is in the hospital. We are very sad for her but at the same time happy things are working out for us. Erik hasn't been working much lately. We're taking this as a sign to get things done with the house. He is getting a bit worried about money. But we're going to be just fine. He always worries for no reason. But that's why I love him.

Kiara is doing really well. She did have to have a skin biopsy because she has had a rash that isn't going away. So please pray that the results come back good and that they figure out what is causing her rash. She is such a joy to be around. She loves playing with the girls. And Brooklyn and Rilee enjoy her so much. They certainly love their cousin!

Rilee is doing really well going potty. We still have a long way to go before she will be completely trained, except for night time. But she is doing really well at keeping her panties dry during the day. Brooklyn has been doing ok at night. She sleeps so sound straight through the night. I've been thinking about waking her up at night at a certain time just so she will start waking up regularly on her own and she can go potty. I've been putting her in trainer panties with an all in one trainer pantie over the top. So if she has an accident it doesn't soak through and get her bed and jammies all wet. It is so hard to wash things here and for me to climb on the top bunk to make her bed, so I only want to do it when it is necessary.

Well, Erik found some boxes for me in our storage closet so I need to get some more packing done. Thanks for all the prayers and advice on the house. It has been very helpful for us.
