you will see that they had started to fight. It was pretty darn cool.

This one Erik took just seconds after the elk tried to take a nibble of
Rilee's little fingers. She was quick but Mommy was quicker.

She was so tired last night.
Brooklyn loved seeing the elk. The very first time we ever took her she had fallen asleep in the car. When Erik woke her up when we had arrived the first thing she said was "Big gun, Daddy. We need big gun." She wants to go hunting, but at the same time she is afraid of the guns. I guess that is a good thing though, to some extent. The elk were pretty cool. They will come right up to the fence and you can pet them. The bulls are on one side of the road and the cows are on the other. Most of the males still had their velvet on their antlers. Erik discovered that they are pretty helpless if you hold on to the end of the antlers. He was trying to help Brooklyn feel the antlers. But he said that it may because they are tame. They might not be so helpless in the wild. After we had watched the elk for a few minutes we got in the car and went for a drive. Erik has been trying to find some state land we were told about where he can hunt. But the directions we were given were not very clear. We didn't find the hunting area, but at least we enjoyed our drive. So that was about it. Nothing much left to blog about.
