Stupid Computers

I haven't been able to update my blog because our stupid computer wouldn't let me log on to the internet. And finally tonite Erik decided to try it, and Yippee, it worked.

Kiara came home for 10 days. And just went back to the hospital on Tues. She is doing so well and we really enjoyed her visit. She is really developing her personality. She is just so cute. Brooklyn just loved having her and Tandy home for a few days. She really misses them when they're gone.

Both of the girls are getting over being sick. Rilee was so sick she even threw up a couple of times. But I called the doctor and they told me to give her Pedialyte. That stuff really does work. She was on that for a day, but now she is back to her regular bottles and is doing great. They both still have coughs and runny noses, but at least no more puking.

Brooklyn is having her 2nd birthday on Sunday. She decided that she wanted a Happy Feet party. So we've bought the plates, napkins and cake all in penguins, as Brooklyn says it. Ever since Kiara has been in the hospital and she got to help the nurse listen to her heart she has been fascinated by stethoscopes. So we bought her a doll that gets sick and she has to make it better. It comes with a stethoscope, a heart shaped thermometer, medicine and med spoon and bandaids. Of course the doll takes batteries, because it has to cry and if it has a fever its cheeks turn red. It is so cute and I think she is going to love it. We also bought her a big girl bike. She loves the Little Mermaid so her bike is a mermaid bike. It has a picture of Ariel of the side of it and seashells on it. She has been wanting a bike ever since she got to go ride bikes with Willy. I think she is really going to enjoy her birthday.

On Tuesday we went to Cheney to visit Erik's mom, Grandma and Aunt Kathy. We haven't seen Grandma since Brooklyn was 2 wks old. Brooklyn had fallen asleep on the way there, so when we woke her up to take her inside she was very shy. She wouldn't even have anything to do with her nana. I have never seen her so shy. But she did eventually warm up to everyone. She called Kathy "Coffee." She was so cute. She loved riding around in the wheel chair. Rilee was all smiles until she wanted to eat and take a nap. But she was a good sport. They both were very good. Brooklyn ate lots of Grandma's candy. She has a sweet tooth just like her daddy. We really enjoyed our visit. Grandma had had a long day and was very tired, so she kept getting confused. It was very sad to see how much she's gone down hill since we saw her last. But she is still a very interesting woman. She kept us all laughing and it made our time together so nice. Now that she is living closer to us we plan on visiting her more often.

Oh dear. Rilee is crying, so I'd better go take care of her. At least I got everything said. Bye for now....
